Might be the throttle bodies starting to go. If the gear drive on the end gets chewed up it doesn't give the response to the pedal that it should. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

Whoever does the service should be able to test the throttle bodies and tell if they're working as they should. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

Agree re the fuel filter. Also, to avoid confusion, there is only ONE Throttle body, not "bodies". However, faults with that are generally manifested by shudder on shutdown and/or noises from under bonnet after shutdown. NB. Although termed "throttle" it has no function in engine revs. Think of it more like an old fashioned "choke" which cuts the air flow.

My money is on the fuel filter, had it a couple of times on different cars. OK when cruising but when you go up a hill or suddenly accelerate you get fuel starvation and up comes the message. Often clears itself then returns. A LR Assist guy told me that it was more common on filters fitted to earlier models especially in cold weather when you could get some diesel waxing compounding the problem. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I'll have to mention it when I get it serviced, I 'think' so far I have only had the issue occur when the outside temp is around 15c or higher, not sure if that means anything or just coincidence.
