Advice please

Had my FL2,HSE,SD4,Auto,for a month now.i love it,struggle to get my wife out of the driver's seat!
Looking to fit some side protectors. They seem to range from around £30 up to hundreds. Matfords,in Exeter have them, nearest dealer to where I live. Anybody know if they're ok to deal with? Their price,£30,seems stupidly cheap.
I visit my daughter,a couple of times a week. Driving down a typical single track track, with few passing places ( hence the FL2). My wife wants to put mud flaps on. Will these get in the way? Are they easy to fit?
Sorry to be a pain...

Genuine LR front mudflaps can be quite fiddly to fit. They have a support plate that fits behind the plastic wheel arch liner and requires you to trim a little section away with a Stanley knife. The plate is there for a reason and it's not worth buying any that don't have the support. Apart from the knife cutting you will need a drill and bits , a cup of tea and half an hour to fathom out the instructions 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

What exactly do you mean by side protectors?
My first FL2 came fitted with side tubes but I was never convinced that they'd be sturdy enough to protect anything much. And they were just something else to keep clean but didn't seem to stop much dirt being sprayed up the side of the car.

Matfords door protectors

I bought a set through their eBay shop at £27.99. They are genuine Land Rover accessories. I think they are cheap because the Freelander 2 is out of production and Matfords want to dispose of their stock.

Ive got a set on the way from Dan@Duckworths.

Need to decide whether to colour code them before fitting or keep them black.
