United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Three months in now and all is well.

Only one issue to look at, and that it an annoying rattle/buzz noise which is coming from the roof control console. Placing my hand on it when driving cures it, so shouldn't be hard to rectify.

But on the whole, it has proven to be a big step up from the Freelander. Towing is even easier, that could be down to several things, the new Ingenium engine, the 9-Speed auto box. But a lot more stable.

I will for sure have another after this one! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Id like to see a better system for forward reverse, the ice hockey puck is a bit fiddly when parking.

Im used to this type of thing on tractors, with a computer says no if you try and select reverse while driving etc etc.

I know what you mean! It took some getting use to, but doesn't worry me now. I kind of like how it drops down when switched off.

The roof console is now cured. just took it off, ensured everything was tight, put it back in and it is fine now. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Well I am about a year into DS ownership, and the reliability has been faultless. A drive to Southern France with the Caravan was just fantastic.

But......... I have had three interior issues that needed to be sorted. A loose B Pillar trim, a small knock on the rear seat and the roof console mentioned above.

All sorted under warranty and no more noise.

There has been a lot of stories about the odd little knock, rattle etc on DS, which we never saw on FL2, but time will tell if these get ironed out. A friend has just PX'd his 3 7ear old FL2 Metropolis for a DS HSE Luxury, and so far his doesn't suffer from the three little issues I had.

But an excellent machine! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
