If it's part of a recall you don't need warranty... Had a Pontiac Fiero recalled for free maybe 10 years after warranty was over... 1973 Land Rover Series 3 88''

Don't worry if its covered under warranty or not. It is a very inexpensive fix. The coolant hose pictured is cheap and it should only take 10 - 20 minutes to replace it.

Funny that I answer this post earlier...Mine was smoking a little steam under the hood yesterday night... Will have a look at it this week-end. Mine still under warranty but dealer is a 5 hour drive from me.... 10 hour round trip. I think I will fix it myself. 1973 Land Rover Series 3 88''

Do you have a Volvo or Ford dealer closer to you? You can order the part (or have them order the part) and get them to replace it.

I know this is an old thread. But I saw it and perked up because I have to top off my coolant level about every 4 or 5 months! Is that normal, or is that because it is dripping out underneath do you think? I have an '08 HSE. Thanks! |
