Just coming to grips with my recently bought 14 reg SD4 auto XS I am not sure that it has stop/start. The book says that it has but there is no "eco" button and it hasn't auto stopped on me yet. Any suggestions or views? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

No, its a manual. I think you need to go to a dealer and ask them? |

Give your battery a really good charge. Then go out with everything (lights, A/C etc) turned off and see it auto-stops. It has to be below 4mph (stationary helps), in Neutral and foot off the clutch pedal. As I've written before, the battery needs to be above a certain charge (no idea what that level is) for it to work. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

I nearly did buy a Hyundai but just couldn't go through with it. (partly due to an overly pushy salesman and his manager and partly due to his insistence that the car was made in North Korea - and I don't want to get a visit from Kim Jong Il's mates after what he did to his brother ! ).

Surely if there is 'stop start' there should be an 'Eco' switch that allows disablement.

Could be that they don't want people to be able to turn it off any more. Maybe the switch was, at first, because they weren't confident in the technology and gave that option in case it went wrong. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

Whilst I'm not sure about the FL2, my Brother's 2016 RR Sport has it and that certainly isn't a manual. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

RRS is a completely different architecture!
It goes on to describe the operation with the manual transmission only. |

I am surprised that you've bought another fl2. From reading your other comments you had so many problems with previous LR that you wouldn't get another. My fl2 is also a XS, it has stop/start eco and still functions with the original battery. |
