Diff replacement

Hi i am having my rear diff replaced/repaired. could you advise me as to the exact work that will be carried out during this procedure please? i mean the main things that should be done when replacing the diff

Hi,

Except for just replacing the diff, a full Haldex service should be done.
I guess you will find most in my thread except for the diff internals (if being rebuilt):

thank you for your reply, i should have been more clear, what i meant was are there software updates after replacing the rear diff

Hi,

Basically not.
As far as I know, there is an update available for the Haldex Gen.4 system which will "save" the pinion bearing a bit during startup from standstill. I guess someone will give a better answer to this soon Smile
