I'll be there on Saturday, the trout season opens, although it's rained so much Ithis week I doubt the river will be fit to wade. |

The wharf was very high and flowing very fast it had submerged the path down towards bardon bridge. |

I too love the Red Lion, sister in law got married there years ago and I stayed in the Manor House round the corner (owned by Red Lion) Also spent a weekend in the riverside cottage they have, both excellent as was the food and the bar. |

It is a smashing pub, we stayed on Christmas Eve , then had Lunch there with friends. I have a season rod on the Bolton Abbey water so spend a lot of time in that area , more since I sacrificed myself on the great altar of voluntary redundancy |
