The wharf was very high and flowing very fast it had submerged the path down towards bardon bridge. Shocked Back in black !!

I too love the Red Lion, sister in law got married there years ago and I stayed in the Manor House round the corner (owned by Red Lion)
Also spent a weekend in the riverside cottage they have,
both excellent as was the food and the bar.

It is a smashing pub, we stayed on Christmas Eve , then had Lunch there with friends.
