Got pictures?

I've been wanting to do this Mod but when I inquired about them on the forum I was advised against it due to wind noise at highway speeds.

What's been your overall experience with them? My 2008 LR2

Robbie, I too would like to see some photos if you could please.

MacLR2, I decide to go for the black side pipes instead. My little boy struggled in the FL1 so I had side steps fitted to that, but on seeing brochure I preferred the side pipes. My son who is now six still needs a 'leg up', and the pipes just give him enough of a toe hold...just watch it if they are wet though..check out my photos on my gallery. Its all down to personal preference at the end of the day. Once he can reach the car he won't need a step, and You don't get a dirty trouser leg either.

Hey robbie.

I am from Donegal. Can you let me know how much you paid for the side steps and where did you get them?

Cheers,

Hi

Just found the Freel2.com forum web site after buying my FL2 on 1st May.

I've had Side steps and rubber side mouldings fitted plus Mud flaps. Wife often refers to "shall I start the decent" when we park up, so the side steps are very usefull!. I will post some pics when I work out how.

Have you noticed any difference to your MPG since fitting them?

Had them fitted from new so nothing to compare with. My MPG is around 33mpg but I have had it upto 36mpg. (1500 miles on clock). Not sure how this compares?

No noise from them although you need to be aware they would get in the way if you wanted to do some serious off roading as they sit lower than the underside of the car.

Hope this helps

How easy is it to fit side steps (not the tubes)?

The ones i would like are the LR ones with silver edges and rubber top. Question
