Before you loose faith in the repair . Removal of the Haldex means some oil escapes and sits in the sub frame and will drip for a while. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Yup, I had similar after mine was serviced (there is a trough in the top of the ally casting that can hold more than you expect). I noticed it & just went under & wiped it off. Not sure if it dripped any, my drive is too rough to show that. |

yes, the "cylinder" is the pump. I would wipe it clean & monitor for leaks. 1978 Laverda Jota. Stolen...

i would thinkt that it is the pinion seal which is leaking, i have buyed some years ago new diff and it started to leak just like that, there is tiny hole bottom of diff which i tried to close but didn't help, pinion seal if between haldex and diff, inside of it.

As yorky says, oil does get trapped in the casting when you drain them out, and it's impossible to clean it all out as it's trapped. Although from the marks on the drive it looks like it could be a bit more than that. Check breather pipe is pushed back on properly. Alternatively it could be the oring on the haldex, the pump or if the filter was changed it could be the oring on that. Doubt it's the pinion seal as never seen one leak. www.bellengineering.co.uk
