PHONE VOLUME

I have a 2013 F/2 HSE with the internal Bluetooth phone connection which links to my Moto G Android phone. It functions OK except the volume is VERY low. I have tried increasing it via the volume control on the steering wheel whilst in conversation but with no real effect. Can anyone help? All advise gratefully received.

Press the set-up button and then go into systems. There you can adjust the volume. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Further to my volume problem. I have adjusted the volumes on both my phone and car settings to maximum. When it now rings, the ring tone is extremely loud, but as soon as i answer it the same problem exists - almost no volume - and also there is no volume for the person on their phone either. HELP - I'm really stuck any further advise please guys.

Apart from the volume setting that you can adjust I'm sorry I can't help. Maybe someone more technical will come along and help. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Is the phone OK when using standalone (unconnected via Bluetooth)? And have you updated to the latest version of Android? I believe that there have been bugs in some versions which have been resolved by patch updates.

Just spoken to my BIL who has a Moto something. He said he had a problem with volume when set to max on the phone. Putting it down a notch cured his problem. Mind you he has a BMW, so phones are the least of his problems Rolling with laughter FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

The infotainment system remembers the phone settings whilst it is connected wirelessly or via USB so if the phones volume was on 50% originally, you have now increased to max, unless you did this whilst connected to the car then it will automatically go back to 50% whilst linked to the vehicle.
Did you make phone volume change whilst the phone was connected to the vehicle? MY15

Hi Guys, Once again many thanks for taking the time to reply. OK First point. The phone works fine on it's own, as far as updating it , er . . . . your talking to a "Luddite" here I'm afraid. I don't even know where to insert the key to wind it up! I guess I'm going to have to "Google" how this is done, but thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll try and find out about that tomorrow, I've just had my cup of Horlicks and everything goes blurry after a while and my doc said I should avoid getting excited after 9.00pm.
Point 2. The infotainment system ???? Oh heck here we go again getting technical. Right, what I think you are saying is - have tried adjusting the volume whilst making a call - am I right? Yes been there and done that. I have also tried all ways of adjusting - with engine running; with engine off; whilst talking to someone etc. still no joy.
I guess my best bet is to see if updating the haemorrhoid phone works. I'll get back to you good folks. Once again many thanks for your suggestions.

Use a samsung J5 /16 don,t have any problem with that and a moto "g" all no problem

set all phone controls to max volume away from the car ,

delete any phone you have on the car system ,

enable bluetooth on your Phone first , then start the car, set as new Phone

once paired job done ,

repeat sequence for other phones you want to pair (remembering to swithc other phones off first ..!! )

Mudslinger, Good suggestion - thought you had it cracked but . . . still no success. Did it exactly as you described - twice, but the volume is still the same, VERY low.
Thanks very much for your suggestion - any other ideas anyone ?
