her colleague got dragged out of her car by one scrote, so auto locking all the way in that case.
I turned it off on RRS as door was always locked when you wanted to get the kids out. At work

CG funny you mention prescription pads. A GP once qualified applies via the employer (was a PCT) for a prescribing number, that number stays with them wherever they go in UK then. One of my claims to fame is I used to give out those numbers on behalf of this nation, never got hold of the smack though or I would be in a Aston not a LR. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I think its when the passenger gets out its more annoying as opening passenger door doesnt unlock everything like drivers does? I think.

She says this by braying hard on the window until you remember where the unlock button is or rattling the handle in and out rapidly this of course stops the button from unlocking the door

Unfortunately rural areas no longer give any guarantee of safety as thieves travel these days and have come to see rural areas as a soft touch. We don't have much crime around here, but what there is is almost always carried out by people from outside the area. They come in at night, often targetting farms, and make off with quad bikes, sheep, tools, oil, you name it. Then just before Xmas the local post office was robbed by two thugs weilding axes - unthinkable in this area, but it happened. Nowhere is safe any more unfortunately. I don't leave my car unlocked any more, nor the house at night.

some @@@@ drove into my garden on boxing day night.. round the apple trees 30 yards from house the away over a field of wheat. you can see the shunt they had to do due to a low apple branch.

Teachers at a local school have had handbags and laptops nicked off of the back seat to their cars while waiting at the first junction from school. My mum had some scroat try to take her handbag when she used central locking to unlock her car and she'd flung the bag onto the passenger seat. So I use the unlock drivers door only and am happy for the doors to lock automatically.

A few years ago, I spent time driving between Johannesburg and Pretoria, the motorway would quickly fill with miscreants on foot at the slightest hint of a traffic jam, they would walk along the lines of cars trying door handles, in the suburbs many traffic lights had make shift signs saying 'don't stop, carjacking area'.

I worked near Johannesburg 20 years ago, I believe you was allowed to drive through red lights at night providing the road was clear to avoid car jackings. I also remember at the time somebody fitted a flame thrower type device to their car. A pedal next to the clutch was pressed and flames would engulf the car jacker!!
