Gritting

When is the best time to grit the roads ? Obviously conditions can't always be perfect. The reason I ask is , the news is full of storm Doris . I took the dog out for a walk to get the newspaper this morning @ 6:30, round trip of a mile, I saw 3 gritters gritting .. it was Censored of rain and had been for some time , the rain was running down the hills like a river , my back garden now boasts a swimming pool .
The snow has now started @ 9:30 , at this point there is no chance of it laying as the ground is so wet. In my opinion what a waste of money and resources gritting in these conditions so far ahead of the predicted snow fall. South Lanarkshire council must be awash with cash and nothing else needs fixed. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

They should have been up in Airdrie - Oh wait, they split Lanarkshire in two so they don't go there even if needed. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!
