wouldn't worry about it at all, won't do any harm taking into account engine and quantities involved.

I take Iain's point but seeing as the car has done 5K since the last oil change and it's been used around town a lot lately it won't do any harm to change it I suppose.

As said, 250ml of 'wrong' oil won't make any difference whatsoever. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I was always told dont put diesel engine oil in a petrol the added detergents strip the oil from the piston rings.

These are different oils, don't risk it and (like you say) it's not as if it won't benefit from an oil change anyway ![]() |
