Hi,

Have a FL2 2010 Sport model. Bought last July second hand 75k on clock.

Not really got around to reading manual until last week (I know, slow reader), but It is supposed to have the premium stereo system with DAB.

It has a FM/Digital button which is supposed to toggle between FM and DAB according to the manual. But all I can get is FM stations (FM1 and FM2) it does not switch to DAB or auto tune for DAB. Looks like a small blip possibly an led on the button but that does not come on if it is for DAB/DIGITAL.

Does the model come fitted with DAB aerial or will one have to be fitted in order of it to work on DAB radio? How can I tell or failing that how do you get the unit out to check wires etc.

Welcome and I'll be nice.

You don't have DAB - it wasn't a standard fit in 2010.

The FM/Digital button refers to digital tuning not digital radio - don't worry you're not the first to think that.

You'll probably find it has a DAB aerial, just look at both rear side windows and see if they have wires in them signifying an aerial. Unfortunately what you won't have is the DAD tuner and as far as I'm aware it's not a simple retrofit.

Try using the search function there are numerous threads on the subject.

Its considered bad practise by many on here to even contemplate opening the manual....

Manual? Auto for me please. Can't be doing with manuals these days.

99% sure you won't have DAB fitted in the car.

It's actually not too hard to retrofit it, I've done quite a number of retrofits now.

2013 Black Dynamic ,my dab radio is absolutely rubbish, my wif has a 2015 Juke cost half the prie of my Freelander2 and the sat nav and dab ,both work brilliantly

I must be . . . .a wimp! I enjoy a good detailed car manual, apart from the fact they cover every model, not just the one you have, actually found out via manual last week that the wing mirrors can be closed by pressing both left and right switch on drivers door. Handy if you park up and want them in instead of risking losing them. . . . without a manual, I doubt I would know that.
