United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey

Do all shock absorbers on all years have the rubber noise suppressor thing?
I have a noise, left rear I think, but looking I cant see the rubber block on the shock absorber?
Mine is a November 2013 TD4 manual if that makes a difference.

Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame

Hi all,

New rear shockers and new LH rear wheel bearing fitted. The clunk is gone and the car is a lot firmer. The old shocker had lost all its oil and completely shot, and that explains most. The bearing drone from the rear is also gone, so there was no doubt that the bearing was gone. I still have some noise from the rear, and I hope that this is only my rear diff paranoia. I think I will monitor this and see if it develops. I am running on studded winter tires, so I hope I could blame these.
I replaced the rear diff oil in the same task, and the old one did not look to bad. dark brown in colour, but looked clean. I put my hand on the diff housing after a 15mile highway trip today, and it felt warm. I think approx 30degC. I guess this is a normal temp build up? It was +2degC outside.

Are there any easy task to identify the state of the different transmission boxes?

Thanks MRRover75 for your update. Glad it is sorted. I'm happy too that mine is repaired and my clunk was the ARB link arm - cheap fix Smile 2010MY 2.2 e4 (gone but, not forgotten)
