My son once parked his FL2 in a field that had just been combined (he is an agronomist) and noticed smoke was coming from under the car which was stopped with the engine off. It looked as if he had parked on a pile of straw and he assumed that the DPF was regenerating so he drove back onto a track. Everything seemed OK after that but he had no warning. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

The handbook (from memory) warns about parking in long grass for that reason. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
