Well he's in the White House. Sat in the Oval Office making plans. Any thoughts on President Trump? I watched his speech which was focused on the people and the USA and its interests being first priority.

Those most likely to shoot a president are also most likely to be amongst his most avid supporters; ironically, Trump is probably one of the presidents least likely to be shot in modern American history! |

With Trump now rampantly pursuing protectionist policies with unprecedented threats to industries both in his own and other countries, is anyone else considering avoiding American goods in return? Are there any historians here that can tell me the last time America had such an isolationist agenda? Was it pre WWII?

If someone tries to assassinate him his body guards will have to shout, 'Donald Duck'...

clearly the USA is too big to be run my one man.. it needs another set of politicians, who can sit in one parliament building for half a year then move to another state for the other half of the year.

You have to hand it to the man. He peddles a bunch of populist agendas that are probably unachievable, but bring out " ist " and blame mentality in enough people to swing a vote. He knows that most of what he promises will never be delivered, but as long as he keeps throwing a few more bits of red meat to keep them howling they will never stop to think what they have done.

Whilst I'm not a fan of Trump, and despise the 'Clintons', I think it may be a good thing in the long run. World politics have gone down the toilet these last years and a Clown like Trump in the White House may eventually get more people interested in 'making changes'.

^ That's been doing the rounds on Facebook. It is of course false and it turns out that those words were in Trump's speech but definitely not in the film.

It'll be a sad outcome, on so many levels, if each and every country purely looks after their own selfish interests. |
