Well it's been exactly 2 years I made the decision to not order a new DS and grab one of the last Freelander 2's.
It's been 2 years of absolutely trouble free motoring......not one problem....nothing...nadda...nil!

True LR Nut - bought my first FL1 in 2000 and over next 10 years owned 2x FL1s 2x FL2s and 2x D2s with no complaints

It's ironic when I was buying FL1s/2s and D2s everyone told me they were rubbish but I had no problems - then prices of LRs shot up and they became popular and I had nothing but bother

Imho it's LR adding technology to justify price increases that caused my problems - I'm after a series 2 LR but steering clear of any new models until they can build them properly

I can't fault LR, I'm soon to take delivery of my 9th, only had a problem with my first D3, a few minor niggles with others but nothing worth commenting on.

I've been up to Volvo looking at the XC90 but getting back in my LR felt right. Can't see me changing anytime soon. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I've had a few problems with the car, rear door paint rubbed off the bottom edge. Front passenger door is a touch out of alignment. Plus a few other things.

On my previous new car, a Seat, it was the top edge of the rear door that paint rubbed off & the drivers door was out of alignment & a few other things. Also a car recall for seat belt connection to the body! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

When on the m4 near reading last week I saw a Ds on the hard shoulder with bonnet airbag deployed but no damage. Driver looker really puzzled. Was it any one on here?. Anyone aware of faulty bonnet airbags.
