Update took on my 2008 model more than an hour. So be patient and go for a drive or connect your battery to a charger during the update process

As RichP has said the newer the disk the better.
I have the 2014/2015 genuine LR disk in my 2008 FL2.
I also would not bother with copies (my opinion based on experience)
Check all usual selling places including for sale and wanted here.

Good Luck

Hi Joe,

Have just come across your post in relation to having the newer disc in an older car. I have a 2007 HSE and have been thinking of upgrading for some time.

My question is, does it have an updated screen/ interface for entering addresses etc. or is it the same start up screens with newer roads once route has been set?

Thanks in advance for any info you can supply

POI (including business phone numbers) and roads are updated, i am sure there was some bug fixes as well.
From software side i notice it is now much more simple to cancel the route once you start the navigation

That's a relief, I was trying to cancel a route yesterday whilst I was on my way. Gave up in the end and used my iPhone. The reason I wanted sat nav was so I didn't have to mess about with my phone

There are some joys in just having a GS model and a 20 years old Nokia mobile phone. Whistle FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

no matter how new navs are they can get it wrong. My daughter and husband just had a weekend in London to see a show, next day they set the nav in their 2016 seat leon to get them back to north devon, they gave that up within 10 mins as it kept trying to send them up one way streets(the wrong way)they put the nav function on their Samsung galaxy it got them onto the m4 with no problems at all.
