It depends what year model you have, early models should use the one without the hole, later models need the hole otherwise they throw an error code. I'm not sure what the switchover year is though.

So from this thread, if you run a late model Freelander with a DPF, you cannot blank it? |

Fitted full blank on Sunday to my 2009 HSE (79k) and instantly noticed it pulls quicker from a start and is much stronger. |

Hello gravon 42, I'd be grateful to hear your experience with this. I've also got a 2011 SD4 (Lago Grey !!!!) but it's an auto, and thinking about blanking the EGR but if it needs serious tampering with the ECU, my indie won't manage... Blanked mine off, and combined with a stage 1 remap, after 200 miles mines showing on the dash as 44.3mpg.

I used North Wales Tuning & Tinting mate, it was a Stage 1 remap using OBD port. |

I was told by a LR assist guy that my 63 reg F2 TD4 could not have the egr valve blanked off, something to do with from 2012 I think if blanked off some signal that is needed will not be present so goes into limp? I really should have questioned him more, but he said up until 2012 (I think) it was ok, after that not ok. |
