RESTYLING CONSOLE SURROUND FITTING ON 2007 FL2

HI PEOPLE! i'm new here and i've bought yesterday a 10/2007 FL2 TD4 SE AUTOMATIC, i have a lot of mod to do on this car (like mount a rr evoque seats, wrapping ecc..) the car looks so good but the restyling is much better, and i want to know if i can fit the restyling console surround (she fit because the form factor is the same, i know) what i don't know is if i can use the original dvd player (i have the alpine radio with fiber optics connection) o i have to replace the entire component like a dvd player, buttons ecc..

Nothing is impossible but what you are proposing is a monumental undertaking.
Firstly the IPC is the backup module for the CCF/CJB so very tricky.
Secondly the electrical systems and wiring are different enough to mean that you would need to change main dash, chassis and ICE main looms.
All interconnected modules would need to be changed also.
Would be easier to trade and buy a late model..... MY15
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Surround Camera System
InControl Apps soon to be replaced with CarPlay (WIP)
Meridian Premium Surround Sound
Digital Audio Broadcast
Timed Climate
Cruise ECO Data
Follow Me Home Reverse
Extra Features Menu
Picture In Motion
4x4i screen (WIP)
Digital Broadcast TV
Meridian Rear Media with WIFI
Factory Powered Tailgate
Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)
Reverse Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
Electrochromatic Wing Mirrors (WIP)

yes i know it's hard, but i think one thing..i want to insert a apple carplay 7" radio in the original slot for the nav, this thing is easy to do because the alpine ilx700 is only 7cm deep and it fit correctly...when installed that the original radio need to bypass because the new radio have an integrated buttons and dials and the original command for the volume ecc doesn't work anymore
ERGO: the only buttons to adapt is the panic button, the door lock and the other services buttons. the original radio don't need to be adapted and this is a lot of work less.
i think is more easier in this way!

The service buttons you are talking about are part of the CAN network and I would hazard a guess that the wiring between pre and post MY13 are completely different. So again, not impossible but not easy.
I'd also suggest you have another look at what is required as you will also need to consider features such as HDC, stability control, the clock, and all the other infotainment "hard keys" which your MY vehicle doesn't have or are involved with other critical modules, ie your terrain response module. All of these "hard keys" including the clock are CAN based and tied into the infotainment system, for example clock is only adjustable via touchscreen.
Very different setup pre/post MY13.
But don't let this stop you as long as your aware and we would love to see your progress to achieving this Thumbs Up
