irony

completing an annual waste reduction review for the environment agency.

Having to reformat the spreadsheet so it fits on less printed pages and removing the many un-needed cell fill colours so I dont waste all my ink printing them off in triplicate. before posting them while also emailing a copy.

I thought of adding the above to the waste managment review but that will only cause them to follow up with another paper trail review At work

You have to understand that paperless office systems need more hard copies than the old duplicate system as every cc needs a hard copy Confused Laughing my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I thought as much but SFA is faster to type (and therefore kinder to the environment). Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

Red tape and nonsense rules. My uncle had a painting business that he operated from a shed on a otherwise vacant block. It had a personal access door at the side and a roller door at the front.

He was required to put EXIT signs at both doors and to make a fire exit map be displayed near the door.

If you are in a small shed and don't know that the roller door and side door are exits then you probably shouldn't reproduce your genes.... Smile

For the pedantic amongst us I do recognise that in a fire in a small shed the smoke can disorient you.... but any movement at all will either take you to a blank wall in a couple of steps or an exit. You don't need signs.

The constant overhead of complying with nonsense one-size-fits-all rules is a bit of a drain, but is the price of existing in the modern world I suppose.
