By Comparison, I was in Texas on 11th November , which is a public holiday in the USA " Veterans Day ". It would not be tolerated there to forget honouring those who have served their country. We were complimented several times on our poppies and my "help for heroes" T shirt . Military personnel were given ViP treatment, free entry into various places, free drinks, free coffees and donuts, in a music bar we were in anybody identified as a Military past or present were cheered by their countrymen. Although the poppy is recognised it is not a universal symbol worn by all. However pride in their military past and present dominates the day at all events.

You have to remember that FIFA is run by the very people who were saved from a life of slavery under various dictators by those who were killed, like most who's leaders ran or capitulated , they don't wish to be reminded of that fact. They are mini dictators and should be told so, time to tell them to off, football is just a sport, no sporting organisation has the right to interfere with another country's right to remember their war dead. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
