Thinking of getting a 'commercial' FL2 for occasional use at work - assuming they'll be treated as a 'van' and there will be no personal tax liability? What are they? Are they basically a 'normal' FL2 with the rear seats removed? Are they easy to fit rear seats/seat belts in if you wanted to carry passengers? Are there any other differences? How do you know they are 'commercial' ones - is it marked in the V5? Do they come in manual and automatic? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Interesting. Thanks. Same as the OP in that thread, I was thinking of getting one for work and for use as a dog wagon too. Will definately look into it further. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Looking at the FL2 used commercial prices just now they don't seem that cheap.

Do you need a 4x4 commercial Fl2 ? As Bob says a Berlingo/Partner would be a better option , I've had a berlingo myself and they really are a nice vehicle , go for an enterprise model and they have everything you need .

Well, I've had an FL2 before and it makes a great dog wagon. As far as I understand, if I buy one for the company, there'll be great tax advantages compared to having a non-commercial one as company car with all the personal tax implications involved. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Ebay item no. eBay Item No. 172441022365. Worth a look. I'm registered to the actual auction site- Merthyr Motor Auctions and they come up pretty regularly. They usually have quite a few commercial vehicles of all descriptions, so even if the Freelander Commercial isn't for you, there may be something else that takes your fancy. And you can bid from home - you don't have to go to Wales to bid. You can even ask a spotter to look over the vehicles for you. How cool is that ? |
