Windscreen access

Guys,

I've got a fault with the heated windscreen on my 07 XS, everywhere I've read says to check the connections at the base of the windscreen as these are commonly found to be corroded/faulty. Was going to set aside a weekend over the festive period to have a look at it but wanted to check something before I start.

On first inspection it looks like I've got to remove the wipers and then the black plastic valance (not sure it's actual part name) along the bottom of the screen as the connections are in the bottom corners of the screen, it looks there's 3 or 4 fixings to this plastic trim, does anyone know if they're reusable? I don't want to get it all off to find out I need new plastic screws to put it all back together.

Cheers.

Cheers Yorky,

I'd seen that thread but couldn't see anything in there about removing the trim at the base of the screen. I've had the battery cover off and looked at the passenger side but it's the drivers side that isn't working... typical!
