Over Mileage service - leeway?

Hi,
I'm booked in for the 15,000 mile service at the end of the week but it looks like I'll be on about 15,300 by then (14,950 today) . Does anyone know if this will affect the warranty, I seem to remember there was a little leeway for these things.

Thanks,

Mike

Not sure but remember being told +/- 500 miles?

Worth checking with dealer or LR customer service.

Bah! How many dealers actually check this? My last car was a good 6 months overdue a service once and dealers still fixed things under warranty. I suppose if the dealer wants to be arsey then they can, but I'd doubt many would. He says.. Confused 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue..

I had Audi refuse a warranty claim because the car hadn't been serviced for 18 months. I pointed out that it had a service indicator and it actually came in with 100 miles to spare and even then, at first they still stood their ground!
Oddly Aud UK didn't want to talk to me directly (they were talking to the dealer who was tryin to get me to pay) and bottled when I insisted on being given the phone. Suddenly I had a warranty again. Wouldn't have minded as much but the claim was for the alarm. What do they do to the alarm at the service anyway? (they couldn't answer that one!)

Anyway - most mfrs do accept you can't time it perfectly and allow +-1000miles/ 1 month. I've been 600 miles over on the merc and nobody said a word. 07 Freelander 2 TD4SE Tambora Flame, side steps, privacy glass, mud flaps, boot liner and a tow bar. Ok it's the Wifes but she lets me drive it occasionally - if I've been good!

At risk of highlighting a small downside to caravanning then my experience of of both dealers and warranty matters is that they are .... dreadful .... they are unprofessional, small minded and do not have the customers interests in mind ... nothing more than a joke to be honest (IMHO) Big Cry

Regards Land Rover service then my experience is that they are happy to work on +/- 1000 miles. I've called them each time prior to my three services to date because my mileage is quite unpredictable. Thumbs Up Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!
Company cars ... a thing of the past - May 2013.
