Have a 2008 auto with 82000 and the HDC/transmission message is starting to pop up then sometimes going off, other times it's fine - all making for "what will the car be feeling like today" thoughts. I asked the chap who normally does my servicing and he said "I will have a go at sorting it"....kind of left me wanting someone who is familiar with FL2 to sort it. Has happened before ages ago after driving in some deep puddles and coincidentally this started again after driving in bad weather- this time with winter coming decided to investigate rather than ignore. I also as a female do not want to take it to Hunters etc and get a HUGE bill for stuff that probably did not need doing. Any ideas guys or recommendations, think a few of you are in this area, who do you use or is it a secret.....

My first course of action would be open the bonnet and spray all things that you can get at that look like electrical connectors (not too much on the cam belt and auxiliary dive belts) with a water repellent.

If I ever lightly wash the engine bay (with the engine running to also help dry it off) I liberally spay it all over with the GT85 but try and avoid getting it into the air filter intake if running might be best. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I always use Colemans Garage at Pinxton/South Normanton. Run by a guy called Matt Edwards. Not LR specialists but they are very good and helpful and wont rip you off.
