I'm looking at 4 things that I KNOW the price of as I've been keeping up with prices for them online for over a month and it'll be interesting to see what they are tomorrow. A drill for £39.99, a Goretex armoured textile motorcycle jacket and trousers £700, some silk PJ's for Mrs D (honest!) £159 and some Bose noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones for my daughter £280 - was £260 last week on Amazon but have now gone back up! Buying them all online so in work early tomorrow, log on and see how much I can get off of them (if anything)! Not expecting anything as like most sales, it's usually all the old Censored they can't get rid of that is on sale. Or, as others have said, prices for good sellers have been jacked up in advance of the sale. We'll see.

Black Friday. As I suspected - a waste of Censored time! Ordered some stuff now - was lucky - LUCKY! - to get the headphones at what they'd been selling for for the last 6 weeks, got the PJ's with a 20% store discount that had been running for some time and the only place I could find the motorcycle suit for was a 20% discount that brought them down to whatever everyone else was selling them for!

I'm buying the motorcycle suit (hopefully at a discount at the NEC motorcycle show tomorrow), headphones and drill for, cough, work Wink so will get some corp tax savings. Can't swing the PJ's onto the firm though. Laughing Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I KNEW it!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-28...sales.html

Could have bought the headphones cheaper two weeks ago and I just bet they go back down before Christmas. Was going to hold out but Mrs D was panicking that the headphones would have all sold out by Christmas leaving us with an upset and tearful 28 year old daughter on Christmas morning!!!! Rolling Eyes

Next year they can Censored right off with their Black Friday! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Wouldn't it be nice if retailers just set a fair price for their goods and sold them accordingly.

It would save them a fortune in all of the endlessly changing point of sale material and advertising costs. Actual sales would be spread out more evenly and customers would know they are paying a fair price instead of an artificially inflated or a claimed reduced price that is in fact the planned selling price.

Any person that actually believes that 'sale' prices represent a 'bargain' shouldn't be allowed to have the means of spending money unsupervised.

Oh, I bought nothing today either.

All those costs are passed on to the customer via the price paid for goods, so in effect the customer is also paying to be lied to.

I was in the Midlands with my boy on Wednesday and we decided to give the NEC a miss, the quality of the Clothing and accessory stands at the Bike Show, and availability genuine bargains have suffered over the years . I've seen some right ***** sold at that show, and the mind boggles when you see that people are on the bus back to the car park having actually bought said ***** and obviously don't value their lives Whistle
