Power Failure on acceleration

Good day

I have a Freelander 2, 2.2 TD4 Auto, 2008 model. I'm experiencing the following issues and need some closure on this matter.

1. The landy is loosing power between gear changes (jerking when accelerate);
2. Noise coming from engine area, I think it could be either form the turbo or the intake pipes;
3. There is some form of a oily substance between the engine and the intercooler.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Zermatt Silver

Had the same issue on my 2007 HSE 2.2 manual, split turbo hose was the cause.

New hose and back to normal Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Fuji White

Glad you got it sorted Thumbs Up

Had my first real error code and she switched to limp mode on me as I accelearted hard from a slip road onto the A19 the othet evening - gave me quite a start as I REALLY needed the speed - anyway managed to get across to the side safely.
Cose = P0087 Fuel rail/system pressure - too low

Checked out the code on my basic reader and reset it (I think it was probably the fuel filter) and no similar problems since - aren't modern cars wonderful Rolling Eyes

She's due her annual service in the next couple of months so I'll get them to check out the filter etc and hope the problem stays away now it knows I'm not going to give in to it Whistle No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS
