Just bought my low mileage FL2 but noticed at low speed/ revs the engine is a bit unsure (not gearbox) seems like the accelerator as when you engage the cruise control at same speed it stops immediately and is perfectly smooth. Any ideas?

Can't really comment without knowing the age, engine and gearbox of your new to you Freelander.

Sorry, it's a 57 plate TD4 GS Automatic another thing is when you let of the accelerator at low speed 15 - 40 mph it sort of jerks as if you were feathering the throttle.

It's a fly-by-wire accelerator, so the sensor on the pedal could be faulty.

Accelerator position can be read in real time via the OBD port, so worth getting that checked out by someone with the appropriate diagnostics hardware, along with any fault codes logged.

Thanks for that, I kinda think it is throttle related due to when the cruise takes over the fault disappears.
