United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Firenze Red

My prediction dorsetfreelander is the new Defender (dropped due to new EU regs) will be a workhorse when it arrives and the version for the likes of us on here will be badged Freelander. Idea FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current

You mean like the Mitsubishi L200 pickup and Shogun Sport derivative which is about to be launched (from £26k which is a more sensible price than LR would go for)

So we are all agreed then, Landrover have two iconic models (the Defender and the Freelander) and they are both discontinued makes you wonder how their marketing dept works. Can you imagine Porsche ever discontinuing the 911 ?

Agree totally. I had looked forward to the DS being the natural successor to my 2011 FL2 GS which has managed 75K however a bad shock when I went to view and test drive the DS. Ended up getting a Macan SD and keeping the FL2 as a second car. I have to say I am not disappointed with my choice the Macan is exceptional and we still have the pleasure of both.

Wow, that Mitsubishi really is stunningly ugly Shocked

I wonder if Mitsubishi hired the people that designed the MINI Countryman?

It needs to see a dentist to get its teeth back into alignment. The car needs some serious braces to fix up the front! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

The Ford Edge appears to be the better DS, will not be suprised if they share same platform and engine.
Love that car.

I am currently driving around in a brand new Jaguar XE R Sport AWD, very high spec, comes in around £42k when I spec it up on configurator.
We had 2 inch of snow overnight so this morning it was tested to see what it will do, on a snow covered cobbled street in the town I live, selected 'low friction launch control' and booted it ... nothing, it didn't move Shocked panic set in, then all of a sudden it very gently without any fuss started to go, no spinning just gentle acceleration and off I went.

It is quite impressive, very low slung so any sort of track would be a no go, yesterdays blast over the moors was a hoot, corners as though on rails and couldn't get it to step out, although I am sure its limits are far higher than mine.

You have a belting car there Jaguar Thumbs Up

It's just a shame Jag are letting themselves down with the F-Pace, they are turning out some pretty poor cars to customers.

I agree the XE is a cracking car though, no place for the dog that's my problem. The new XF Sportbrake with AWD might tempt me. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

What about? Toyota 4 Runner. Would there be a market in UK. Still more expensive than a Kodiaq though.

Or if you are a bit of a sensitive type and don't want all the off road extras malarkey.
