interior lights

Is there a way of shortening the time that the interior lights stay on after locking up?

My interior lights fade out immediately on locking the car - they only stay on if the car is left unlocked. I've always assumed they all do that - is that not the case?

If you lock the car they fade out straight away, if you don't get out of the car they fade out in about 20 to 30 seconds. There's no way of shorting the time that I know of. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

I did that! While camping for 6 weeks I got sick and tired of the low battery warning. Took the footwell & boot globes out & it reduced the warnings. Also turned off the ceiling lights most of the time as they were not needed. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
