Scotland 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Lux Manual Rimini Red

Checked the can bus resistance through pins 7 and 8 on DCM it is only 52.5 ohms the other control units all read 124.4 ohms
Is this normal or have I found the coms error?

Also no ignition feed to the module supplied from battery and can now clear all differential control module errors just leaving me with the immobiliser control error to deal with.

There is power at fuse FB6 in the auxiliary fuse box so have a broken wire between there and the module to find.

Away to check if the pulse has been restored from the instruments to the BCM.

Turns out the lack of power was me putting the fuse back in the wrong holder so power is restored to the module.

Still no pulse from ICM.

Was checking the fuses a couple of days ago.

The immobiliser signal error is still there and was the original fault.

However today I checked the resistance on the diff control module and it was 52.5 ohms and the rest are 124.4 ohms is this normal for this module to be lower? As my previous experience goes all modules had the same resistance on the CAN H control untitled terminals. Is this the case with the freelander2 as well?

The normal value for a can "end of line" resistor is 120 ohms.
But, from my experience, the bus is very tolerant and can work even with 50 ohms or no resistor at all.
For high speed bus the terminating resistors are in BCM and engine ECU.
For low speed bus the terminating resistors are in BCM and in ICU.
The other modules should not have, at least in theory, a resistor between the H and L lines.

The immo error points out to a missing or improper/erroneous communication between BCU and the engine ECU.
That could be because of a problem with one of this modules or a problem on the high speed bus.

I've asked before when did all this started, as in when was the first time the car didn't started and which were the events surrounding that first failure...

Sorry for the late reply have been away with work.

The fault occurred after a 20 minute drive parked up outside my house. went to go start the car hour or so after and got nothing other than the steering column lock warning on the dash. so nothing out of the ordinary.

Maybe it's just a case of steering column lock being "locked for good"...
Try to knock it a little and/or jiggle the steering wheel when you insert the key... Maybe it works....

I did have the column lock mechinism off and pushed it back manually And the fault still persisted.

But remember it isn't receiving the pulse signal from the dash. I have the module away to get tested. (It was only £20 and it was something to get done while I'm away).

If the module test comes back with the all clear I'm going to check the CAN BUS with a scope then get it to a local independent Land Rover specialist to check if the keys/docking station are OK as my scanner won't let me access that part of the system.

If I was to post the freeze frame data from CAN BIS and was uncertain if any irregularitys were present would you be able to have a look and see what you can see any irregularitys?

Did this issue solved?

Looks like the same as mine 2007 fl2 issues.
-Car wont start
-Security light flash all the time
-No Light in the dash or information center(radio)
-2 key fobs working(tested with ssd/mongoose)
-When key fob inserted and start button pressed external lights come on. Nothing else happening.
-Faulty code p1259(stays)
-Car reseted with ssd and also battery changed.

Car was without battery some time. Had to change both clutch cylinders.

Do someone have ideas what to do next?

Hopefully my english is understandable.
