As far as a constant barrage goes I have to disagree more a gentle stream. I have cut down on the vaner jokes but a few will always slip out.

Its been pointed out by many that this is a family friendly forum so the same mod who joins in the innuendo talk should not block a caravan joke, Its just not a balanced approach.

the fact is CG you changed the original post to a anti caravan thread, whether you or others found it amusing you turned the thread off topic, you did however say appear to end it with your quote

Just been looking through my old posts (wow there are a few ). And yes there are a fair few van comments but the vast majority where in friendly banter with vaners esp in June/Julyish and there where a lots and on both side of the arguments. Some of the input in this fun was from people who now say they don't like the van comments!
Maybe the subject got old/over used, maybe the crap summer and credit crunch knocked the out of many of us who knows?
Its not long ago that I ran a poll about silliness on the forum, the result was the vast majority (of people who voted) wanted keep up the silliness but tone it down a bit. I like to think I have toned it down a bit.

Get a sense of humour. If you dont find it funny move on, don't throw the dummy out of the pram. 

This discussion is getting pretty childish and helps not a fig when others “throw logs on the fire”.

Npinks asked me not to add to the thread in question and I said that I would not. Others added van comments because we are not all against them.

Perhaps we need two off topic sections as the D3 forum does, one for off topic and one for silly nonsense, I can only imagine that that came about due to arguments like this one? At work

This is the "off-topic" part of the forum, which is anything not Freelander of FL2 related. It says that in the title.

Caravan jokes have been around long before this forum existed and will still be around long after it's gone. I say keep the friendly banter going, god knows we're going to need it for the next 12 months or so.
