Insolvable electrical problems

Dear Freel2.com members,

In the year that I had my Freelander I had to call the help of LR Assistance 6-7 times to get me out of my garage due to starting problemes / flat battery... Banging Head

Several attempts to get the problem in sight did not succeed: preheater story, radio software upgrade, radiofront appeared to use 20 times as much current in rest as it should do so the radio got changed etc.).
It did not help and I decided to hand the car in. Big Cry
After a heavy fight with my stealer we had a deal...
End of November my new Freelander will be born with the same specs as my 'old'... Thumbs Up Neutral

Hope that this one will start is it should! Confused

I hope the new one treats you better,

I know others who have done a swap and found the replacement to be fine,

Carlfraz was telling me at the weekend that one of the old members (Def) has just had to pay €10K out to swap his, due to the greek buy back scheme and he is still not happy Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Indeed it is true. I think it is wrong any stealer should ask for you to stump up cash if the car is at fault. Fair enough you should be liable for the road tax anything else such as depreciation is questionable. My dealer Marshall Bedford once I forced their hand were second to none straight swap after 4 months of ownership, but due to the high spec car took a further five moths for the factory build to come through the system.
