Can get the Scorpion Zeros and Verde All Season for the same price at £110 .

I've generally been pleased with the zeros, but wondered if the Verde All Seasons would be a bit better in the winter, although wet grip is C rating vs. B rating for the zeros.

Anyone had both?

Also F1 list the Verde A/S for Evoke at £110, but a LR fitment for £119 - seems strange, would have thought they would be identical. I guess I could order the Evoke fit for my FL2?

I find my 235x60x18 zero's very noisy on some road surfaces - any suggestions for when I have to replace. Reading reference to Mitchelin Cross Climate and they appear to have a very low noise rating. Any Thoughts? MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

I have just literally changed from Scorpion Zero (on 18" wheels) to 19" wheels with Scorpion Verde All Season tyres at the weekend. They are LR marked.





Only done about 35 miles so far. Despite the change to larger wheels, the ride seems better, much quieter but the steering is a bit lighter. Handling seems much the same. I haven't tried them in the wet or with hard driving. The tread is much more complicated, lots of sipes within the blocks.

The Zero tyres were down to about 4mm after 24,000 miles so I hope to get much the same mileage out of the new ones.

I have the Mitchelin Cross Climate, and find them very quiet. 

Will report in next week after having them (CrossClimates) fitted on Saturday.  FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

+ for the Cross Climates , very quiet . FL2 gone now in 2016 Discovery 4 Loire Blue .

ive got 20'' Scorpion Verde on my SD4 Evoque . they are very quiet and seem to grip well in all conditions so far. Ive done about 2k on mine from new over 3 months so far. I did kick the back end out on a sharp bend on a country road but AWD and the tyres kicked in nicely with no dramas.

My FL2 had 18'' Scorpion Zero all round and I did about 8k on them from new over 6 months, they were good as well but a lot noisier on the road IMO although FL2 to Evoque is not a direct comparison obviously.

No Im wrong - Event tyres currently offer 7 versions of the Verde -

For instance the 235/55R19 105W PIRELLI SCORPION VERDE XL LR is listed as a extra load SUMMER tyre

but the 235/55R19 105V PIRELLI SCORPION VERDE is a extra load all year tyre and is £12 cheaper than the LR one

Also these tyres have speed ratings V and W (149 and 168 mph) - the SD4 cant reach the limit of a U or H rated tyre let alone V or W . So what is the point of the LR marked Verde ? Might as well save £48 Jules

I fitted scorpion Verde all season a year ago, they have been great, quiet, hold the road well in all weathers. I got mine from Asda tyres and got them fitted at my local garage, brilliant service.

I had wintracs under my D3 for five years [2 sets, 52.000 km's each set, all year round]. I have the verdes under my FL2,
but a friend told me about his vredestein quatrac 5's .
They were € 10 more expensive each here in NL, but they are so incredably quiet. I fitted on my D3 and they amaze me every day.
No idea what they cost in the UK. I paid € 790,- for all 4 with fitting and balancing included [ 255/60 R18 ].

From what I see tyres are cheaper in the UK as in NL....  [ Freelander 2 TD4e MY10 Sport manual. SVR badge engineered ] SOLD

Since my post about the Pirelli Verde All Season tyres I have done a several hundred miles, including finally in wet weather (for several weeks it was quite dry). Really impressed with them. Much quieter and smoother with no change in ride despite the move from 18 to 19" wheels. Wet weather driving was all good and at low temperatures as well (as they should be), although I don't recall the Zero tyres being a problem like I have had with tyres on other cars at low temperatures.

They get my vote.

I have recently spotted them fitted to a couple of late plate LR cars - a 16 plate RR Sport and a 66 plate Discovery. Are they offered as an option? 2016 BMW X3 30d SE in red

Have 4 Verde all seasons being fitted tomorrow, they were around £15/tyre more than the scorpion zeros but hopefully they'll be a bit better in the cold weather. Although I have no complaints on the zeros.
