High level brake light fitting is loose.

Has a rubber gasket shrunk?

The fitting moves around a few mm, not sure if it has aways been like that. The car is pretty much always garaged so it is not exactly exposed to the elements! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

If you lived in Manchester the title would be more like ........
High level brake light leaking, or tailgate lock failed through rust.

Very common gasket shrinks, water passes, if you are lucky you notice water on the rear load space cover, if not the water gets into the rear door lock and it dies. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

Thanks,

the car sits in the garage most of the time. I finally got around to cleaning it after 6 weeks holiday. I thought it was not right that the fitting was loose. It is still under warranty so I will get LR to fix it. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
