I don't know if this will help but I have had exactly this problem - Key in, Clutch in press button and then nothing !

That sounds like the switch that the clutch triggers is defective - this may be an area to get looked at. |

Do you get a clicking sound from under the bonnet? if so it sounds like the problem I had with mine which proved to be the starter motor, next time it will not start give the starter motor a few good taps with a piece of wood then try to start it if that works you can either get a service recon starter quite cheap or buy some new brushes for it and fit them yourself. |

Thanks for the comments but like I said My problem of no start has gone away altogether since I started putting the clutch in all the way to the floor,
