Towbar electrics not working

I am having trouble as my towbar electrics don't work, caravan plug seems to work ok but not the trailer lights all dead. I have spoken to the previous owner and he never towed with the car, so not sure of the best course of action. Will it be a main dealer job or does anyone know of anyone in the notts area who may be able to help.

Find a good local Auto Electrician and save on main dealer rates. Thumbs Up FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I had the same sort of problem, you may have to install the FA9 15 amp & the FA11 (40 amp) Fuse in the box in the rear Luggage compartment. That is how I got mine working.

Perhaps it was not configured?

If the previous owner hasn't towed the chances are that the car has never been configured. Requires a LR dealer or indy to download the CCF and reconfigure it with towing.

Cost around 80-90 quid, maybe cheaper at an indy.
