I replaced the standard speakers with those from the higher spec alpine system. Made a huge difference |

Yes Taz, it'll be to feed the speaker-level inputs of a small amp to drive the sub. |

Well 'small' for a sub amp, relatively speaking. I don't want a bloody great box in my boot so I plan to use an OEM sub which fits neatly around the spare wheel. I believe they're not massively powerful speakers (for a sub) so won't need a huge amp.
