Do me a favour, put these vertical lines at 45 degrees to represent cornering and see how your 'diagram' looks. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

No they won't, they'd be squirming all over the place.
The reason why 'sport' vehicles run with low profile tyres. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

OK Ron I think I'm going to leave it there as you are clearly getting a bit tetchy about it.

I'm not for a second denying lower profile tyres flex less and corner better on sports vehicles. But this is a Freelander. They come out of the factory with 65 profile tyres... yet according to you mine with a 50 profile will be "squirming all over the place"?

What you've done, for whatever reason, is force a tyre on a wheel that is beyond what is widely considered do-able. You've stretched it to a shape it's not supposed to go in. If you want to do it, good for you. But the tyre fitters I spoke to said it was dangerous, and all 3 of them said they would refuse to fit them if I asked (and I was paying!). And I'm not talking about the YTS kid at Kwik-fit - these were reputable garages in my area.

Clearly you know better. I bow to your superior knowledge. Smile

Not getting 'tetchy' at all, just replying to points you have raised.
And the end of the day, it's only .5 of an inch, not 5"
I don't reckon it's that crucial between what is absolutely 'manufacturer safe', to the 'tread coming off'

Tell you what, you stick to the M6 and I'll stick to the A1M, and whosever 'balloon' tyres blow out first, then we must post on here.
Stay safe Thumbs Up FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-
