Simple answer about towing mirrors is: With the caravan hitched, and directly behind square to your car, can you see the both sides of your caravan with the standard mirrors? If not, you need extended mirrors.

A lot of people seem to think if they can see the front corner, it's good enough, it's not, you need to see down the sides to the rear corner. With tow vehicle and van I a straight line, stand at the rear of your van and look down the side, if you can see the tow car mirrors your fine, 10 to1 you won't be able to do this with standard mirrors.

It's a personal preference. I have two convex Milenco Grand Aero. Best I have ever had. 👍 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Started with Milenco Aero flat and hated them. Just couldn't see enough in them. May be better if you go for the bigger Grand Aero's but I suspect they wouldn't make enough of a difference
