The aerial and amp are there as its a part of the FM loop. When DAB is fitted there is another part number for the arial which also includes the DAB circuitry. The DAB AMP part also has two Fakra plugs whereas the FM only has 1 Fakra plug. It's a bit weird!!!! Did you try the MOST Network reset???? Nothing should work if the DAB ECU is faulty, but on the earlier system maybe that's why it won't select DAB. It's a bit hard to guess your problem as it could be a number of factors. Have you checked the DAB ECU fuse? Would best to get it diagnosed with SDD and that will tell you exactly what needs to be done. Ah no, not in the earlier cars... In the 2007-2012 cars the DAB antenna is completely separate to the FM antenna. (the green DAB antenna amplifier in the roof) The 2013 onward "Meridian" cars have the combined DAB & FM antenna setups (you need to remove the green FM antenna amplifier and swap it with a grey combined FM & DAB one). 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers 2009 Jaguar XKR 4.2 S/C Portfolio 2005 Jaguar XJR 4.2 S/C Black/Cranberry 2005 Jaguar X-Type 3.0L AWD - Gone Last edited by Cambo on 18th Sep 2016 3:20 am. I thought they were in the tailgate near the high level stop light in pre MY13 vehicles?

That helps clarify everything .... I think! But it still doesnt explain why when all the marketing bumf says "Premium head unit equals DAB" i've not got it! 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto - Stornoway Grey - Hers (His, really)

Send me a PM with the VIN of your car and I'll look up the build sheet and the as-built CCF.

As I mentioned to Cambo in my PM, I have two build sheets/vehicle summarys from both Topix and through the dealers warranty database and when on looking again at the Topix one today I see that it states "Analogue Audio Broadcast" (something I hadnt noted before) so it does seem as if some cars were built with the Premium DAB head unit but not fitted with DAB components. Strange! 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto - Stornoway Grey - Hers (His, really)

It would be interesting if I had one fitted with all the DAB equipment but not activated in the configuration?? |

"Analogue audio broadcast" refers to the main ICE harness, so regardless of equipment fitted, DAB ECU, activating in the CCF will not work I'm afraid. You wil need to add all the necessary wiring as per "Cambos" retrofit thread. MY15
