2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Orkney Grey
Recall

I am taking my car in the the stealers today for a recall - Q606

Anyone know what this is - the stealer actually booked me in and the first i knew of it was a call reminding me to take the car to them today.

I was wondering if anyone else had had this done. I wouldnt mind but it was in for a service 2 weeks ago and they could have done it then.

Cheers

ps apologies if this is in the wrong thread

The AA publish details of known recalls see this site: http://www.theaa.com/allaboutcars/recalls/...;makeId=C3

Your problem may be what is known as a service action ie something to attend to when the car is serviced but not justifying a recall of all vehicles - can't find any on the web with number 606 though

I'd ask them to clarify just what they intend to do and why? Plus of course what will it cost you? Shocked No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

Bloomin muppets !

Yes it wasnt an action that was required on my car - one check of the chassis number told them that.

needless to say they were very apologetic.

The MY13 onwards Freelander 2 has the same system as the Evoque but in the CCF the Freelander has only keyless start enabled.
I'm going to have another look at this when I get time as it should be able to be enabled. The only difference is the door handle and most likely the door module and door harness for the lock feature on the door handle. Luckily this is a separate CCF field so doesn't need to be enabled.
Bare in mind that the RRS has the same handle hardware as Freelander 2 so the handle with the close switch is available to fit.
It may or may not be possible but Im working on something else at the moment and will get onto this at a later date Thumbs Up MY15
