Australia 2010 Freelander 2 i6 HSE Auto Barolo Black

Hi guys, I've fitted some 2014 xenon signatures (black reflectors) using the adapter from Cameron's. Really happy with how it looks. I've seen a few comments about the brightness of the signature strip and agree it's on the dull side. Did anyone get a definite answer if there is the functionality to run low/high intensity on the strip?

Hi Pete
I know this is a old post but I'm looking at doing the same as you on my 60 plate, just some questions if I may..
Is the bumper and grille a straight forward replacment, do I need to source some fog lights out as well?
The signature strip headlights have you had any issues with the conversion kit?
I have noticed that on some headlights there are part numbers HAL UK HAL EU and HAL US, now I know not to get USA and to get UK but are HAL EU ok?

I understand that the new 2013 headlights is not a direct fit as its not right bumper/grille? So looks slightly out of place with old bumper on

I have rear headlights on the way which in think I can manage with wiring...just the front I will probably have to get the conversion kit (if your review of it is any good)

Sorry, I'm a freelander virgin but I also like a bit of retrofitting Smile

Retrofit Signature LEDs in 2013 headlamp

Hi all, just got hold of my 2013 Freelander 2 XS and i noticed the headlamp actually has the groves where the led strips for other (HSE?) trims would have the Signature LEDs:

This is too tempting! Very Happy Has anyone retrofitted the leds to their 2013 freelander 2 and anyone knows if there are existing kits to do it??

Thanks a lot
Mark!

Was hoping to upgrade my MY14 to HID. Currently I have only one working HID unit as the other broke in transit. After struggling to locate another, I've started exploring the going through Land Rover Parts.

Our LR service and parts guy is really helpful and often replaces compontens with little hassle. He asked me to bring the other headlight because he susecpted the wiring would be different (despite me mentioning the learnings in this post). Apperntly he test the unit and it wouldn't come on. Apparently he changed the CCF. However, it's not clear if he tried it with another unit (I.e a full pair).

The unit i have is an EU converted one.

Is it likely it wouldn't work with out another another unit connected?

South Africa 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Fuji White

Hello everyone

I have finally purchased a 2013 signature halogen LHD headlights for my RHD 2011 HSE and now gathering all material for the retro I have sourced RHD morimoto peojector, harness and DRL module but did not manage to get DRLR3 module to control the LED stripes the right way. At most online stores I only find controllers that when turn signal is on they make the LED stipe blink and I wanted a solution that a can have them off when I use the turn signal.

I'm looking for advise on how to overcome this since the controller work perfect accept this function. Is there a way to fit a relay to achieve this or something else. I'm very techies and have modified many headlights so I'm open to any possible solution and idea. Tnx

Re: LED / DRL Headlight Upgrade

Perfect Pete wrote:
I have just upgraded my Halogen headlights to the latest 2013 LED / DRL Halogen Headlights. After seeing Wynton's detailed description of how to upgrade the wiring, I knew it was possible. But I didn't have the facilities or confidence to make up the new loom adaptors!
However, I came across this company who have made up the adaptors as a plug and play product.

This has just been installed and works brilliantly. All functions as it should on my 2007 FL2 GS. Including headlight flash.

The company started producing them in December so its a new product and Adrian Cameron of Camerons GT Auto Ltd in York is an extremely helpful guy.

The cost of the adaptors are 249.00. Of course to add to this you will need a pair of new headlights.

So if you, like me want a ready solution, contact Adrian on 01904 610650.

Next project --- Front Bumper upgrade!

Just bought my first Freelander 2 and going through posts when i found yours.. Mines also a 2007 in black and really want to do the facelift like you with lights and bumper, could you tell me where you sourced the lights and bumper etc?
