2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Baltic Blue
Nexus 7 Tablet

I've had a Nexus 7 tablet in my Freelander 2 for a couple of years now mainly for google maps but also music and cameralert. I've had it mounted on a windscreen suction mount from Herbert Richter which is superb but quite a stretch to reach and not that visually attractive.

I intended on taking the cubby apart and fixing the mount with screws etc but I decided to try double sided sticky foam. It's holding it secure enough that I think it will last. I'll see how the foam holds up to the temperature cycling but I'm very pleased with this simple mod.

United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Ipanema Sand

I used thin strips of velcro which I stuck to the edges of the cubby hole and the the Nexus 7. I did this so I could quickly remove the Nexus, when parked up, to avoid someone nicking it. I have to say it was a solid fix.
