OE style roof rails - genuine LR or aftermarket

At the risk of repeating other threads I've read does anyone have any experience of how good the quaintly and longevity is of the OE style aftermarket roof rails that are out there?

I've decided on OE style rather that anything else as IMHO they look better! But aftermarket ones seem to be half the price of genuine LR parts.

Guidance much appreciated.

Cheers
JW

I bought aftermarket ones, the paint finish is coming off the aluminum parts and I would advise if you want them for a longer period to buy genuine.
I would be worried about using them long term as the casting may not be the best, its better to pay a bit more then have the box come off at speed. Thumbs Up

I wont be using mine again as the car is due to be changed in the New Year.

I have genuine LR rails and cross bars and I use on a regular basis as I'm still working on my house.
Fit is perfect and finish is the same as as the day my car was delivered.
I Would only recommend the genuine item.
They are great!
