There's a bit of disappointment over there at the moment, as the latest spy shot shows the tailgate open and it ain't split.

New Discovery, maybe it's just me but the front end looks vulnerable in terms of grounding off road. LR are clearly changing their profile but imo losing something in the process. The Skoda Kodiaq looks interesting, and especially with that rear space behind the second row seats is an improvement over the FL2.

Seriously considering this, a previous V70 was the most comfortable car I have ever had.

One would expect other offerings than LR will have more comfortable suspension better interiors etc than the FL2 as the Freely is a 10 year old car with upgrades, the problem with changing is that the others are compromises, there will be something missing that the Freelander has in the case of the V60 a lower tow ball limit and jst like the DS limited boot space at a high level, in the case of the Tucson a weaker suspension poor stability program and again limited boot space at high level. Problem is the LR substitute also has some of the shortcomings. Just a small point does the ABS work in reverse on these alternatives, my SF didn't and it wasn't nice careering and pumping the brakes on a narrow unmade lane with stone walls and parked cars on ice and snow, got away with it just my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
