Try putting some gaffer tape over any holes or slots on the bars. My Son had this problem with his Thule wing bars and it was because the slots on the underside hadn't had the plastic infill strips fitted.

I've had all the combinations on mine, square bars no roof rails and the aero style bars with roof rails. I had to get rid of the square bars as they were too noisy. The quietest combo has been roof rails with aero bars. My aero bars are Thule. I have a flat roof basket up there at the moment and it makes a fair bit of wind noise but not as much as the square bars used to. |

Years ago I had square bars and the slightest hole caused noise. Gaffer tape solved the problem. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I have Prorack Whispbars. Almost silent. Mine are clamp on foot fitting. They also do versions to fit on rails.
