Hi, can anyone tell me please, as to what is the maximum size tyre that will fit the rim of the 16" 5 split spoke alloy wheel,
I've a set of snow tyres in the garage that where used on the D2, so I need to know as to whether they're keepers or not.

Hi, that's interesting but what I need to know is whether my snow tyres will be to large for the Rim, they are 245/70/16
brilliant in snow (obviously) and quiet, it would be a shame to have to sell them on.

I'm running 245/65/17 which has a diameter of 750mm while the 245/70/16 has a diameter of 749mm so it will definitely fit size wise. I don't know if the tyre is ok for the rim width though.

It's the rim width I was concerned with, don't want the rubber rolling off on a fast corner

I've just found Land Rover Brochure circa 2008 and it shows the 16" fitment is 215

so It's best I sell the snow tyres on. Thank everyone Dave DAVE.
